Preparing for Fürstenfest

Preparing for Fürstenfest

Dear friends! The biggest holiday of Liechtenstein – “Fürstenfest” is approaching.
The holiday was established in 1940 on August 15 (the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary), the eve of Prince Franz Joseph II’s birthday. The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the prince’s name day were one of the most important days of the year.

Traditionally, our union will take part in this holiday. The event will feature Ukrainian cuisine, a photo zone, and handmade products.

In this regard, everyone who can draw well, make necklaces and bracelets, earrings, were invited to Austrasse 13.

The meeting of Ukrainians dedicated to preparations for the biggest holiday in Liechtenstein, which will take place on August 15, was a great success!

We had a good time in good company with tea and sweets, as well as in an easy, fun way of learning German on the topic of “holiday”.

To help the beginners, we invited an experienced artist Lyudmila Misan, who helped us to make our works beautiful. We also had guests – Liechtenstein assistants – who spoke to us in German.

In a positive atmosphere, our creative girls, together with the children, created wonderful paintings, necklaces and bracelets, and enjoyed cookies, candy and fruit provided by our sponsors.

The wonderful works will be exhibited at the holiday, but most importantly, the participants took home a good, positive mood that they will share with their loved ones, not only in Liechtenstein, but also in Ukraine. With those who are defending Ukraine and forging its future victory.

We are always waiting for everyone who remembers that Liechtenstein is the country that provides refugees with the greatest benefits among other European countries: financial support, health insurance, housing, communication, travel, clothing, and food.

Many thanks to everyone who came, participated, helped the weak, together we are strong!

See you at the holiday!

Best regards
